What is Educational Advising?

As a student, you may have many questions about your courses, programs and academic policies. Kwantlen's Educational Advisors can assist you with this and more. Educational Advisors are available to answer questions on the following topics:

  • Course planning & selection
  • Program choices
  • Course prerequisites
  • Program & graduation requirements
  • Academic regulations & policies
  • Educational planning for career goals

There are several different advising teams at Kwantlen to assist you as you progress towards graduation. See below to determine which advising team you should access and click through to their individual site for information on booking an appointment and online resources.

Who should I see?
 


Central Advising Button
  • I am a new or returning student
  • I am in my 1st or 2nd year of studies
  • I am completing a certificate, diploma or associate degree
  • I am a Business or Arts student with less than 60 credits
  • I am a Nursing, Design or Trades student

ACA Advising Button
  • I am upgrading my courses
  • I need to take an assessment test
  • I am in ELST
  • I don't meet Kwantlen's General Admission Requirements

Arts Degree Advising
  • I am completing an arts associate's degree and have questions about Years 3 & 4
  • I am in my 3rd or 4th year of the BA program
  • I am an Arts student with more than 60 credits


Business Degree Advising Button
  • I am interested in a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, or the Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology and am close to completing 45 credits (15 courses)
  • I need to improve my GPA to get into the third year of one of these degree programs
  • I am in my 3rd or 4th year of a BBA program
  • I am interested in the CISY diploma
  • I need to take courses for CA, CGA or CMA designations

International Advising Button
  • I am an international student in my 1st or 2nd academic year (with less than 60 credits)
  • I have questions about study and work permits
