Funding for Adult Basic Education Programs
Adult Basic Education Student Assistance Program (ABESAP)
This program is available to assist students who are upgrading their education in preparation for post-secondary level studies. Eligibility is determined on the basis of assessed financial need.
Eligible students will be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and those with "Protected Person" status who are studying either full or part-time in one of the following areas:
- Qualifying Studies
- English Language Studies (ELST)
- Career Choices and Life Success (CCLS)
- Adult Basic Education (ABE)
- Academic and Career Preparation (ACP)
- Access Programs for People with Disabilities (APPD)
Financial need will be considered as a qualification. To apply for ABESAP you will need to complete both the ABESAP application and the ABESAP Fee Deferral Form. Please download your ABESAP application here. Please download your ABESAP Fee Deferral here.
