Safety Committee
A Joint Occupational Health & Safety Committee is made up of staff, faculty and administrative and university representatives working together to identify and resolve health and safety problems throughout the campuses. The four Health & Safety committees at Kwantlen Polytechnic University coordinate and promote health and safety activities and ensure a healthy & safe working environment for all employees.
The role of the Health and Safety Committee is to:
- Assist in creating a safe and healthy workplace
- Assist with employee concerns relating to health and safety
- Promote compliance with applicable rules and regulations
- Participate in worksite inspections
- Participate in incident/accident investigations
- Make recommendations to senior management
