Faculty Login Change for Remote Access to Research DatabasesIn an effort to streamline network resource access and enhance security and usability, IET is changing the way that faculty log into selected Kwantlen resources on Saturday Dec 3rd at 5pm.
What does this mean to you?
To login to our research databases from off site, faculty will no longer use their Banner employee ID number as a username, but will instead use their assigned “login name” to log in. Use the same password you use to log into your work station.Access to the library research databases will be unavailable from Saturday, Dec 3rd at 5pm until Sunday Dec 4th at 10am.
IET has made every effort to ensure that this change is as seamless as possible and would like to thank you for your patience.
Notice for Accounting Students printing blank tax forms
There is a known problem with printing blank forms from ProFile program. Here are some options to avoid printing problems:
- Do not to print blank forms, instead either:
- fill in at least a name and then print, or
- Select ProFile PDF printer, save the form as PDF and then do whatever you need with the file before printing.
- Use the blank forms on CRA website (http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/menu/AFAF-e.html) and/or save them as PDF to the M: drive on the library computer. Open it from the M: drive to print a blank form.
On Friday, October 28 the library catalogue will be unavailable in the morning while maintenance is performed to improve services. You will be able to search the catalogue from two other sources:
- The Library’s beta fast search engine. Find out what it is and try it out at http://www.kwantlen.ca/library/subjects/Summon.html.
- Click on the Outlook Online link at http://www.bclibraries.ca/home/catalogue-search.

Science Direct is upgrading their platform and will be uavailable for 11 hours on Saturday from 4:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

JStor unavailable on Saturday, September 9, 2011
On Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10, JSTOR will be performing site maintenance that requires a “read-only” period for these two days. During this scheduled maintenance, users will be able to search, browse, and access and download PDF files for content in JSTOR. They will not be able to save citations, reset passwords, create or update MyJSTOR accounts, or purchase articles.
