Programs in Mathematics

The Kwantlen Mathematics Department offers several programs in mathematics

B.A. Minor in Mathematics

This degree is intended for students who wish to teach in high school or for anyone interested in mathematics. Please check the calendar for information on the B.A. Double Minor Program, and on the Minor on Mathematics.

The Associate of Science - Mathematics

The Associate of Science degree is intended for students who wish to take the first two years of university courses at Kwantlen, and transfer them to another institution. Information on the Associate of Science can be found on the Associate of Science webpage.

Flexible Pre Major in Mathematics

Students who want to start a mathematics major at Kwantlen and then transfer to another institution can take most of their first two years at Kwantlen. The Flexible Pre Major document describes the courses institutions that offer a major in mathematics require. Calculus I, II, and III in that document are MATH 1120, 1220 and 2321 at Kwantlen, Linear Algebra can be either MATH 2232 or MATH 1152, depending on the institution, Ordinary Differential Equations is MATH 3421. Make sure to check the B.C. Transfer Guide for how the Kwantlen courses you want to take transfer to the other institutions, and make sure to contact those institutions for further details.
